      Bowman International School, located in Palo Alto, Calif., is a nonprofit, independent school that offers Montessori-based education to students in grades kindergarten through eight. The school has an enrollment of more than 150 students. Its curriculum includes classes in various subjects, such as English, math, science, social studies, language arts, and health and physical education. The Bowman Association of Parents is the school's parent organization that promotes parental involvement in the school's activities and events. The language and literature curriculum includes the reading, critical analysis and writing of a variety of literary forms, such as novels, short stories, plays, poetry, folklore, personal and historical narratives, creative fiction, and journalistic and formal reporting.
