Dr. Wayne Wood grew up on Anna Maria Island and he is a graduate of Manatee High School. He received his undergraduate education at The University of South Florida and his Doctorate degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1989. He completed his residency in diagnosing and treatment of eye disease at Omni Eye Services in Memphis Tennessee. He is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Florida Optometric Association. He has practiced in Bradenton since 1989. Dr. Wood and his wife Chareece have 6 children and 5 grandchildren. They are active members of Bradenton Country Club and enjoy spending time with family, fishing and golfing.
