Its 24-hour emergency room provides treatment related to chest and abdominal pain, shortness of breath, vaginal bleeding and pregnancy-related problems. Desert Regional Medical Center employs a work force of registered nurses, certified home care and nurse aides, social workers, and spiritual and pastoral counselors. It has a wound care center that cures diabetic and pressure ulcers, threatened skin flaps and burns. The hospital offers low and high-risk obstetrical treatment, prenatal care and neonatal services.
