General Info
Environment Design Group ( LA26000286 ) is a young firm officially organized in 1989. It's principal landscape architect represents 30 years of practical experience in Florida. Office skills and expertise focus on land/site planning & analysis and detailed site design for hardscape, lighting, planting & irrigation.... traditional landscape architecture. Every project approach involves the careful placement of specialty consultants to enhance the experience level of the project team ; consultants for sociology, legal, zoning, environmental, biological, marketing, engineering, construction, botanical, architecture, cost estimation and others. Principal staff consists of two full time registered landscape architects: Frank Meroney, ASLA-BLA #691 and Dustin Mizell, ASLA-MLA #6666784 and several young apprentice landscape architects. Our work is fully automated and we are well versed in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch-Up, MSWord, Excel, digital photography, plant data base information, and other software. Our planning/design approach is based on a carefully programmed carrying capacity for a given property. Each and every site and its surroundings can only withstand a limited and carefully balanced set of landscape uses before it creates negative impacts onto itself and neighbors. A careful balance of indigenous materials with the exotic is at today's forefront in design. Today's planning & design environment includes a rigorous & time consuming review process fathered by government officials & staff. EDG is well versed in county and municipal codes, ordinances, and review processes. While our designs include code design criteria they often carry an overriding theme which disguises the underlying boredom of code design.
