East Side Intermediate School offers educational services for students in grades four through six. It conducts math, fine arts, and computer and health education classes. The school provides special education services for gifted and talented students, as well as children with learning disabilities. It offers guidance counseling services. It includes a library and media center that provides a range of books, magazines and periodicals. The school organizes extracurricular and fundraising activities. Additionally, it offers food and transportation services. The school provides membership opportunities in the Future Farmers of America (FFA). East Side Intermediate School conducts field trips and is governed by the Palacios Independent School District, which also operates elementary and high schools.
