Marquez Charter School is located in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and teaches students in grades kindergarten through five. The school was founded in 1955 and has enrollment of more than 700 students. It is affiliated with the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school s curriculum includes writing, reading, music, art, physical education, technology and visual art. It also offers classes in English, science, social studies, language arts and mathematics. The school runs a state-funded, gifted and talented education program for special and talented students. It runs many extended-day and after-school enrichment programs and its music program teaches recorder, flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, violin and cello.
