Dr. Moore is the best! I have used him for years and he has helped this "newbie" horse owner understand all about horse health. I even called him out on a snowy Saturday morning for a horse with colic that was not his patient. The horses regular vet was unavailable for three hours and we couldn't wait. The mare is older with other health issues and we didn't think she would last. Dr. Moore pulled her through and she is still going strong. That was 5 years ago. Recently we relocated to the other side of Michigan and I still call on Dr. Moore to treat my hunter who has arthritis. Just last month my horse had colic for the first time in 8 years and the local vet was okay but I kept comparing them to Dr. Moore. They came up short on experience, knowledge and how to communicate with a very worried horse owner. I highly recommend him, and his office staff is terrific!

Dr. Moore is an excellent veterinarian but he charges so much that we can't afford to use him. Literally triple the cost of others in our area.

Dr Moore is one if the most highly skilled, most resourceful, most creative and most capable equine vets you will ever bey KY enough to find. He has shepherded my two older horses ( one a Calamity Jane and the other struggling with cancer for years) through more death defying situations and kept them healthy happy and competing/trail riding/foxhunting/showjumping and happily grazing well into retirement. Dr. Moore is great!!!. He is prompt to respond to your horse's needs and provides outstanding care. He also takes the time to explain the ailment, the treatment given and what to do in the event something else were to occur. He is accessable by phone to help ease your mind and to assist if necessary. Highly recomend.

Dr Moore saved my horses life. Literally. Chief, my horse, was very ill; Dr. Moore was prompt to get to the farm, quick in appropriate action, quick to call the vet hospital to say we were on our way. But there is more; he also found horse transportation for me down there AND called everyday down to the hospital as well as calling me to make sure I understood what they were doing. No one believed he walked off the trailer into the hospital; we had all assumed he would probably die on the trip down. The vet on call when we brought Chief in said there was no other vet she would trust as much as Dr. Moore with her horse, and that he was probably the reason Chief was still alive. At the vet hospital they would tell me what they were about to do and I kept finding myself saying ," Dr. Moore already did that" ( in the midst of overwhelming sadness it almost became comical) In closing I can honestly say Dr. Moore is one of the best you will find anywhere.

I have used Dr. Moore a few times w/ my mare and he is very knowledgeable. When my mare came up w/a lameness issue, someone told me to use another vet who was a specialist... I did... When she became worse, I had Dr. Moore back and he just gave me so much more information... and put all the facts right on the line..
