Pleasant Ridge Elementary School is a public institution that provides academic instruction to students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. The school has a team of counselors who provide classroom guidance lessons that emphasize character and safety education, crisis management and violence prevention. It operates a library media center that stocks a variety of reference materials, books, periodicals and computer software, as well as provides Internet access to enrich student s classroom studies. Pleasant Ridge Elementary School offers a range of academic courses, such as art, communication skills, math, science, social studies, reading, and health and physical education. Opened in 1991, the school is a part of Olathe Unified School District 233 and is located in Overland Park, Kan.
