      Because home and community have always been important to Dr. Lenz, his decision to live and practice in Southern Johnson County was easy. He has lived in the area for the past 20+ years, and it is important to him to practice dentistry in his own community for the people who are his neighbors. After graduating from Blue Valley High School, Dr. Lenz attended Kansas State University, where he played football for the Wildcats. It was there he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and became interested in becoming a dentist. He was fascinated with a profession that combined the interaction of both science and art. The School of Dentistry at the University of Missouri at Kansas City was a perfect fit for him. Since his graduation from UMKC, he has continued to educate himself on the changing art of dentistry. He has consistently kept up with advancements in his profession. Dr. Lenz is excited to incorporate this cutting-edge technology into his dental practice. As well as keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry, Dr. Lenz's emphasis on patient comfort enables him to provide the highest quality of care possible. Because he has a wide range of skills, he can offer patients many different treatment options. Patient education and personalized care are emphasized. Dr. Lenz takes the time to help each patient understand his or her diagnosis. Together they can discuss the pros and cons of each treatment option in order to best meet the patient's goals. At Lenz Family Dental treatment begins with the patient. After a complete and thorough examination, Dr. Lenz reviews and discusses the diagnosis and treatment options. He listens to each individual’s concerns and ideas and customizes a state-of-the-art program for that patient. Outside the office Dr. Lenz enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf with friends, and working out. He serves as a coach for his son's football team, The Bulldogs. He and his wife Julie have three children.
