Expensive, but that is the only complaint!!! All else was incredible! I am so glad I went and oh wow was the food really good.



There is construction goping on in a building next door - so stay well away from there.

If you are looking for a seriously good steak for a special occasion, this is the place to go. As I've said in other reviews, there are lots of great steak places in the KC area but this place has it all - awesome food, professional staff, and an atmosphere thats probably the best in town. You will pay for it but for a special occasion - this has got to be the place. The menu features some very imaginative appetizers, entrees that gives you the choice of beef, fish or lamb and deserts that are – well – righteously decadent. The wine list is as excellent as the rest of the menu and the staff well versed in suggesting what might go with what. Make reservations. We’ve never been there when it wasn’t busy. y

The food is exceptional, the service is over the top. Dining at J Gilberts is very satisfying and delightful. I felt like royalty.
