Edward M. Amet, DDS, BS, MSD FACP Edward M. Amet, has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Puget Sound, and received his D.D.S. degree in 1969 from Northwestern University Dental School. In l974, he received Master of Science degree from the University of Missouri with a Certificate in Prosthodontics. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics and the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. His training includes I.V. Conscious Sedation Anesthesia and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. He placed his first implant in 1974 and has extensive training and experience in both the surgical and prosthodontic phases of therapy, with skilled and talented on site dental staff and technicians He practices in Overland Park, KS and is director of the Reconstructive and Implant Dental Center and owner of the Reconstructive & Implant Dental Laboratory.

Dr. Amet has been our family's dentist since 1983. He is simply "the best". Through the years he has replaced my crowns; fillings; a bridge and just recently completed two implants. He gave me my smile back. When my children were younger he placed sealants on their back teeth and they both have mentioned they were glad they got them. Dr. Amet is very meticulous, kind and caring. I highly recommend him.
Two of his staff, in particular, Gail and Pat, are wonderful and have been with him longer than we have-and that's a long time!
"HIGHLY SKILLED" - 1/12/2012 - Dr. Amet provides dental care of the highest caliber. I had multiple issues and, by any measure was a complex and difficult case. Step by step, with utmost care, he addressed every issue. Not long ago I saw a friend who I hadn't seen since the completion of my treatment. She said, "Well you finally saw a doctor who provided the care you needed, your teeth loo so good". I can say, without hesitation, that the treatment I recieved was far superior than any I previously had. The results were excellent, both functionally and aesthetically, and the rates were competitive. Dr. Amet is also aided by a talented and personable staff which includes an enormously skilled technician. Five Stars!
Due to a genetic condition passed down through my family, I have experienced broken/fractured teeth my entire life. Dental implants were the perfect solution to replace my failing teeth with strong, natural-looking teeth. Dr. Amet did an exceptional job in designing and creating my implants. He took the extra time and attention to explain every step in detail so I understood what to expect and the time-frame. The surgical procedure was relatively painless, and the installation of the final product fitted precisely. As a result, I am always complimented on my smile and beautiful teeth by friends and acquaintances. Thanks to Dr. Amet and his team for their wonderful work and follow-up service. I am very satisfied and happy with the result.
