Apache Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. The school also offers a range of student programs in fine arts, music and physical education. In addition, Apache Elementary School offers the English Language Learners program. Its staff includes teachers, educational aides, paraprofessionals, specialists, librarians, social workers, and cafeteria and custodial employees. The school provides medical care and speech pathology services to students. It has a parent-teacher association that promotes the welfare of children and youths at home, school and community. Apache Elementary School is a part of the Shawnee Mission School District, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools.
