My fianc and I wanted to try some place new and I have never had sushi before. This place really impressed me. While it is small, the decor and atmosphere are very pleasant. It has a very contemporary decor and is dimly lit for a romantic feel. I had the California Maki and The Bagel Maki and my fiance had the Yaki Sabo. We shared the rice cake and mango ice cream for dessert. Our server was very friendly and helpful. She was very patient in explaining some of the differences of sushi to me. I will definitely be going back to try some other types of sushi and I will recommend this little gem to everyone I know!

I was really excited for Sakamoto to open, and then horribly dissapointed when it finally did. I ordered salmon off the grilled menu, and it came to me still raw on the inside. I sent it back and asked to have it cooked all the way through, and it came back to me still raw in the middle. We were not apologized to or comped in any way. The atmosphere is very cramped and uncomfortable. However I did not try the sushi, so maybe the sushi there is good. Especially since they don't even seem to cook the meat when it's on the menu that should be cooked.
