Put simply, peripheral neuropathy is nerve damage resulting from poor blood flow to nerves in the feet, legs and hands. Peripheral neuropathy is one of the most common complications of diabetes, but may also be caused by circulatory problems, medications, chemotherapy, alcohol, AIDS, and unknown causes.
- Sports MedicineTom graduated from Newbury College in 1985 as a physical therapy assistant. He has worked in various settings, from head trauma units to acute post neurological/stroke rehab centers. For the past twenty years he has been at The Physical Therapy Center. His interests and experience are manual therapy for the spine and sports injuries.
- Physical TherapyAll our physical therapists are credentialed through Medicare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Harvard Pilgrim, Tufts, Aetna, MassHealth, Cigna, and other major insurances. In addition, we are fully accredited by the Physical Therapy Provider Network,(PTPN) and must exceed the standards established by insurance companies for our therapists, documentation, billing, and facilities through a yearly independent onsite inspection.

- Aquatic TherapyAmy graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2007 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She also received a degree from Bridgewater State University in 2004 for Health Science with a concentration in Athletic Training, and is also licensed and certified since 2005 in Athletic Training. Amy has over 10 years experience in aquatic therapy and extensive experience with rehabilitating joint replacements, chronic pain, and sports injuries of all ages.
- Manual TherapyJeanne graduated from Russell Sage College in 1976, and received her doctorate from the University of South Alabama. She has been awarded the title of Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Physical Therapy Association, and she has expertise in manual therapy/strengthening and rehabilitation of orthopedic injuries. In addition, Jeanne practices physical therapy for prenatal and postpartum back pain, incontinence for women, and pelvic pain. She also offers expertise with cranio-facial and TMJ pain.
