Bill & Rays was established in Oskaloosa, Iowa in 1957 by Bill Holmes and Raymond DeJong. The business originally serviced cars as well as larger, diesel-powered trucks and equipment. After doing business as partners for several years, Bill and Ray decided to expand the scope of business to include car sales as well as repair. The Bill & Rays name was then added to a Chrysler dealership in Sigourney, Iowa. A few years later, the two decided to split the partnership...Ray continued doing car and truck repair while Bill established the business in Sigourney. Bill & Rays Auto Service continued to grow to the point that it was necessary to eliminate the small auto repair and focus primarily on diesel engine and wrecker service. After many years of service, Ray retired in 1992. He then handed over the business to his two sons, Dennis DeJong and David DeJong. While the name Bill & Rays is no longer associated with the Chrysler dealership, the name still lives strong in Oskaloosa. Call us today!
