My first experience w/this florist was great! I did talk to the floral designer. That made all of the difference. My friends say this florist is "known" for flower arrangements done in brown tones. Not sure why. My SECOND EXPERIENCE was a disaster. I am VERY SPECIFIC in my request. I was talking to a young girl. I gave specific colors/design/size/cost. Our call took about 15 to 20 minutes. I kept asking if she was understanding my wishes. Yes was the answer. WELL!

The arrangement was delivered and NOT ONE ITEM I HAD REQUESTED was put into the arrangement. It was their "typical arrangement of brown". I called back FURIOUS. I paid over $100 for the design. They had the young girl call me back to apologize. Her apology was a waste of time. She had no emotion nor did she seem to care. ALSO, I WAS SURPRISED THAT THE FLORIST did not offer to re-send my correct arrangement. Normally, I am forceful enough to have asked for this....but I was so upset that I failed to do so. I have never nor would I ever order from them again. NOT EVER!

Two disappointing experiences

My mother and I went in to the store to order a bouquet for my sister's wedding. We walked around the store for at least 15 minutes and no one approached us to ask if we needed help (although they did approach other customers). We finally found the table with the bouquet books and began looking through them. We stood at this table for another 10 minutes (minimum), talking about bouquets and showing each other ideas. While we were doing this, several employees walked past us and did not even acknowledge we were there. Finally we decided to leave and get our flowers elsewhere. There is no doubt that the store is beautiful, but the service is VERY disappointing. As a sidenote, I had contacted HOF two months ago to make an appointment to discuss flowers for my wedding as well. The female employee who answered the phone was rude and acted like I was bothering her, and immediately directed me to their website to fill out a "preappointment consultation form". This form asked a lot of unnecessary information, including my baker's phone number, and very specifically asked how much I intended to spend on flowers. I cancelled my appointment and am working with Hrnaks - they have always treated me professionally and kindly. Don't waste your time with House of Flowers unless your flower budget is "$10,000 plus".

I have purchased a few items in this store, which is really cool! When I have ordered flowers the service and quality has been exceptional.

I've used this store multiple times for various occasions ranging from valentines days, to birthdays, to just sending flowers to a significant other and they've always been fantastic! Reading other reviews I do agree with most saying that the service isn't always right there in your face, however when I've gone up to the counter I've always been approached quickly and helped to the best of their ability. The one woman who's working everytime I go in does an excellent job suggesting things and is extremely well knowledge, I wish I knew her name! The only thing if someone from there ever reads this....send your employees on to the floor more often to assist customers rather than having them come up to the register. Other wise total 5 stars in my mind from everything to delivery times, quality of their products, and friendly staff!

Delivered flowers on wrong day, then did not want to give refund.
