I have been making pottery at the City of Orlando Pottery Studio for about 10 years. It's a wonderful place -- lots of room for a dozen or so wheels, big tables for hand-building, two rooms of glazes, infinite tools and molds and whatever else you need to make beautiful pots. There's also a big classroom where the studio holds classes for kids and workshops for adults and families. I have learned a tremendous amount from the other participants at the studio, who range from beginning to advanced to professional potters. And I've been helped many, many times by the wonderful staff, who go out of their way to be friendly and useful and constructive. This is one of Orlando's unheralded gems -- a great arts-and-crafts program at a really reasonable price. I love this place.
