Discovery Middle School, founded in 1991, is located in Orlando, Fla. The school s facilities include a media center, vocational building, music room, gymnasium, cafeteria and classrooms. Its elective courses include band, orchestra, chorus, art, computers and physical education. Discovery Middle School s parent-teacher-student association plans events, allocates funds and discusses current legislations. The school s curriculum includes language arts, mathematics, social studies and science. It additionally provides exceptional student education to emotionally and mentally disabled students. Discovery Middle School employs instructional staff, administrators, paraprofessionals, custodial personnel and subject teachers. The school s athletics department supports several sports activities, such as basketball, football, soccer and volleyball.
