Spent the day at Universal Studios and was looking forward to an end of a great day with Karaoke, but no such luck. Terrible service. Had to go to the bar 3 times for just water. Ordered a soda, and never an offer for a refill. Interestingly, I was told it'd be free with a Universal Studios ticket...buts thats only if you are going there at least two days. So dont trust what you read. Now, about the karaoke rotation....if you're a regular...you get in. Random at best and definately, not worth a "FREE" cover. Enter at your own risk!!
The night started off okay until I went on stage to sing a second song. The host refused to give me the microphone and one of the back up singers said that patrons could only sing one song per night. The manager came up to the stage and told me that we could only sing one song due to how busy it was and that I should be glad that I got to sing at all. So imagine mine and my friends surprise when the very next two performances were ladies who had already performed earlier in the night. From that time on, the mood at my table changed; my friends who had been having a good time, were mad. It would not have been such a big deal if the explanation was given to everyone in the club that patrons would only be allowed to sing one song per night. But the fact that I was blatantly lied to and watched as the next two performances after I was supposed to sing were ladies who had sung before that bothered us the most.
