About Us: Bill and Jody Stevenson live on Route 1 in Orland Maine with their two children. Captain Bill Stevenson began his career at a young age growing up in a marine environment. He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1989 and served aboard the USCG Spar which he sailed on for three years out of Portland, Maine. Bill was at sea during the Persian Gulf War conducting marine law enforcement. After the war, Captain Stevenson returned to Portland to complete his Coast Guard career performing search and rescue. Captain Stevenson attended Maine Maritime Academy where he majored in Nautical Science and Management. After Maine Maritime Academy he became general manager of a local marina, and started Penobscot Bay Yacht Exchange in 1998. Starting by selling boats and performing service work, Captain Stevenson introduced TowBoat U.S. to Maine, starting with one port in Castine. Today, Penobscot Bay Yacht Exchange has sold over 150 boats, has a full staff of qualified marine technicians, and services 5 ports with TowBoat U.S. along the coast of Maine. At present, Penobscot Bay Yacht Exchange is highly visible on Route 1 in Orland, Maine, between Bucksport and Ellsworth Maine. The Stevenson's purchased the location offering high visibility to their brokerage customer and their vessels.
