New spring menu has salmon with lemon miso sauce truly the best salmon I have ever eaten. Wonderful wine list, excellent service and save room for dessert. A wonderful meal and well worth the drive!

Elegance in Orland? Finally!

This Restaurant is by far the most sophisticated, professional and enjoyable restaurant in Orland. I would recommend it to anyone! The service is much improved (since new management) and the environment is family friendly yet relaxed. The Restaurant itself it very beautiful with a lot of original and unique woodworking. The food is amazing! I really enjoyed the prime rib alfredo and the salmon burger, my mother-in-law raves about the cesar salad and has to snag herself one when she comes to visit from the bay area. Their presentation of food is one of the best I have seen in this area. They also have Farwood fries which are sweet potatoes! Sooooo good! The Restaurant has recently taken on new ownership and has made alot of good changes. It is now open for lunches! yay! I hope this restaurant is around for a long long time!

Personalized service and compelling food choices based on local ingredients. Best in town, by far and prime rib/grilled steak as good as anywhere.

Could be quicker

I have had many dinning experiences few have been as slow as this. The first time I eat here, was opening week, where ofcoure you expect some food delays. We started dinner at 6:00, our order was lost, dinner ended some time after 10:00. Second time there where simular problems. Dinner at 5:30, dinner over at 9:00. O.K. food for such a long wait. Steak was good and all the people friendly. We did recieve free shots while we waited.

I'd like to appologize for your disappointing experience at Farwood. I am the new/current manager and soon-to-be new owner of the restaurant. I, along with the staff, have worked very hard to improve every aspect of the Farwood experience, and I would like to invite you to come in and try Farwood again. Many customers have told me they stopped coming to Farwood, but now will be back because they've had a very good experience. If you plan to come in, I would love to hear from you.

General Info
Established in 2006. The building that Farwood Bar & Grill occupies today was reportedly built in 1916 as a gentlemen's bar called the Richelieu. It was a very popular social venue for the town's businessmen to quench their thirst and conduct business. The safe that is restored and displayed in Farwood was used to hold merchants' money on weekends to be transferred to the bank on Monday. The history of the beautifully carved oak bar in Farwood is well known to area residents. It was made in England, shipped around Cape Horn at the south end of South America, and functioned as a bar in San Francisco for an unknown number of years. In 1916, it was barged up the Sacramento River to be installed in the Richelieu and has remained there ever since. Online Ordering Available! We offer hand-cut steaks; fresh seafood; pasta; burgers; main course salads; house-made dressings, sauces and soups. We use local ingredients, and our menu changes seasonally.Established in 2006.
