- UltrasoundThe equipment used for ultrasound therapy consists of a generator of high frequency current and an applicator, usually referred to as a “transducer”. The generator produces an electrical current of desired frequency which causes a crystal in the transducer to vibrate rapidly, producing sound waves. The ultrasonic energy is transmitted to human tissue by contact with the transducer. However, ultrasonic energy cannot be transmitted through the air, so a coupling medium must be used between the transducer and the skin. Different media are water, oil, and transmission gel.
- IontophoresisIontophoresis began in 1908 as an effective tool to transport drugs in solution across intact skin. It is based on the ·principle that an electrical potential will cause ions in solution to migrate according to their electrical charges.

- Breast AugmentationSome of the most common medical problems that warrant the use of ultrasound therapy are adhesive capsulitis (“frozen shoulder”, or pain and stiffness in the shoulder caused by inflammation), calcific bursitis (the calcification of bursa sacs due to prolonged inflammation, usually in the shoulder), inflammation of the skeletal muscles (myositis), and soft tissue injuries from sports or other causes. Ultrasound therapy is also used to treat tendons that have been shortened from untreated scar tissue or past injuries. Ultrasound therapy machines like the SoundCare Plus can be used to overcome capsular tightness or scarring, which often result from surgeries such as breast augmentation.

- Physical TherapyIn general warm water physical therapy is utilized for pre and post surgical back conditions. It is also a great place for those who struggle to tolerate more aggressive land based exercise to build their base for later when land based is better tolerated.
- Frozen Shoulder
- Aquatic TherapyAquatic therapy is utilized when decreased weight bearing provided by the water buoyancy is needed or a warm water environment is needed. It is also a less aggressive way to create distraction forces than traditional traction therapy.
