As a board certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, he has been practicing pediatrics in Oregon City since 1993. Prior to entering private practice in 2005, Dr. Resk was the medical director of Doernbecher Pediatric Practice in Oregon City for 8 years. He also served 5 years on the board of directors for The Children’s Center, Clackamas County’s child abuse evaluation facility, and as the pediatric department chair for Willamette Falls Hospital. He was selected by his peers in 2012 as a Top Doctor in Portland Monthly Magazine. Dr. Resk is a volunteer faculty member for Oregon Health and Science University, teaching medical students and pediatric residents for over 20 years. He was awarded the Doernbecher Hero Award in 2005 in recognition of pediatric resident teaching, and he was honored to receive the OHSU School of Medicine Alumni Association Community Teaching Award in 2010. Dr. Resk's clinical interests include all aspects of general pediatrics, from the care of newborns to the challenges of the teen years. He strives to create a medical home for every patient — comprehensive and family centered care with open communication. Dr. Resk is married to his high school sweetheart, and they have 2 daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys racquetball, golf, hiking, kayaking, and reading.
