I was looking for a hard-to-find, possibly out of print book on chess for a family member incarcerated for far too long. He has waited for 7 years for this book. Bookman had it and jumped through all the hoops necessary to send it. Well it got there and he got it. THANK YOU BOOKMAN. You have no idea what this meant to all of our family. Harper

Bookman Review

My experience at the N Tustin Ave location was extremely poor. I called to see if they carried a specific book, but was cut off several times. The woman had no common courtesy and didn't even say goodbye. When I entered the store a nice gentleman helped, then I looked around at an art book which was then rudely ripped out of hands by this woman. She looked at me as if I were trash and began to say "Read that book on the table!" I left with my business.

Good bye paycheck...

Great store full of wonderful treasures!

Half off cover price for paperbacks, and large selection of non-fiction. All around GREAT store!

Only bummer is the new trade rule: you can only use your credit for HALF of your purchase price.

ARTICLES ...unlike many such shops [used bookstores], the books are carefully categorized and alphabetized. - LOS ANGELES TIMES, Calendar Weekend Section, 1997 One worked a succession of mundane jobs, mindless tasks that covered the bills but otherwise failed to challenge the intellect. The other enjoyed a more exciting career racing and training thoroughbred horses. And each desired something more. Like legions of Americans, they wanted to run their own company, to be their own bosses, to forget time clocks and time cards forever. So... -- in the midst of an economic recession that was claiming small enterprises everywhere -- ...David Hess and ...Paul Bonaventure opened their own business. ...both have contributed equally to make Orange's The Bookman, 840 N.
