Founded in 1952, the department provides a variety of fire prevention and emergency medical services. It responds to motor vehicle collisions in Collegedale, Ooltewah and East Brainerd communities in Tennessee. The department operates various fire stations. It conducts public fire education, awareness and prevention sessions. The department offers annual training programs to school students. The Tri-Community Fire Department maintains a fleet of pumpers and tankers.
