Operated by the City of Ontario, Calif., the Public Works Agency provides a range of maintenance services for the residents and businesses of the city. It manages and supports various departments, including recreation and community services, utilities and solid waste, equipment services, and library and museum. It also has a parks and maintenance department that provides maintenance of roadways, parks, public grounds, sidewalks, curbs and gutters. Its utilities department offers master planning and capital improvement projects; water production, conservation, distribution and quality monitoring; meter reading, installation and replacement; and repair and environmental compliance. In addition, the agency operates an equipment services department that provides fleet maintenance and repair services, including vehicle procurement, fuel management and distribution, accident repairs, data tracking and fleet analysis.
