Founded in 1965, Nathan Hale Middle School originally enrolled students in grades six through nine. Today, it serves more than 350 students in grades seven and eight. The school s academic curriculum includes several subjects, including social studies, art, science, math, reading, music, Spanish and language arts. It offers a special education program for students with moderate-to-severe disabilities. The school also offers English as a Second Language and gifted and talented education programs. Its media center has a collection of several fiction, nonfiction and reference books, magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, maps, and electronic and teaching resources. The school additionally provides guidance counseling to students. Administered by Omaha Public Schools, Nathan Hale Middle School is located in Omaha, Neb.
