      General Info
      Dr. Sheehan is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and fellowship-trained Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry subspecialist. In her practice, she sees patients with both general psychiatric conditions, such as depression and anxiety, as well as patients with complex symptoms and illnesses affecting both their mental and physical wellbeing. She has particular expertise and interest in Reproductive Psychiatry and Psycho-Oncology. Dr. Sheehan also works extensively with professionals concerned with matters of confidentiality, including medical professionals. Dr. Sheehan is one of two fellowship-trained Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrists (CL psychiatrists) in the state of Nebraska. She is the only CL psychiatrist providing outpatient services and is the only CL psychiatrist subspecialized in reproductive psychiatry and psycho-oncology. In her practice, she provides medical management as well as psychotherapy and is trained in various therapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. She also helps patients who seek to change a specific habit, attitude, or behavior that is no longer serving them in their life. Dr. Sheehan is from west Texas and received her medical training at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX. She completed residency training, and a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, NC. Recognizing the ongoing need for specialized psychiatrists, Dr. Sheehan is planning on expanding her telehealth practice to her home state of Texas soon. Dr. Sheehan is a member of the American Psychiatric Association (APA), the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (ACLP), and the American Psychosocial Oncology Society (APOS).
