Do I have to even give a star? Took my husbands 27 year old Australian Outback Oilskin Duster to them too have a few small cuts repaired. Instead of repairing the two small cuts with patches like I asked, they used ONE big patch and it looks like hell. I asked why he did that and he said that he felt like the fabric was worn and it would be stronger. He never even stitched the holes.. they said they didn't have the machine to do that, and that the cuts would still Frey ( so why take something in to repair if you don't have the proper machine to do it? ) He did not call and tell me the change he just did it. Had he called me and told me what he was going to do I would have said NO. I have to now have the patch taken off and have the glue removed from the duster and have it re-done correctly, at considerable expense to me. I have to send it to Kansas City to have it fixed properly. I did contact him back and told him how unhappy I was with the repairs, and he offered to refund my 18.00 and I said no, I want you to pay for the expense to undo the damage he did , which he promptly refused to do. This duster was $400.00 new in 1988 when I purchased it. I believe that he just does what he wants with your belongings and if your happy great, if not oh well sucks to be you! Be VERY specific with what your expectations are. Maybe that is why he wants you to pay up front, because he gets your money and you get what you get...like it or not! I plan to take him to small claims court for the repair cost for the duster. Beware!

Do NOT use this place!!!! The owner is a prick and swindler!I was quoted $18 for a new wheel on a luggage bag, and when I took my bag in on the same day, I was advised that it would be $30 for the wheel because my wheel was a newer fancier model with a plastic protector. I agreed. The owner told me it was a direct match, but when he held the piece to my bag, I noticed it was off, his plastic piece was longer. I asked did both back wheels need to be replaced in order to do the repair, he advised no, the plastic difference will not be noticeable when he was done. So I paid for express service, and yet my bag was not done on time for my trip. When I returned to pick up my bag, he rolled it on the floor and said "Good as new", but I noticed that the bag was leaning. When I asked why was it leaning, he said "it's not". So I sat my purse on the bag to show it was leaning. He still said it wasn't, so he sat it on the counter to try and prove it, but instead he proved what I said. At that point I noticed that the wheel was a total different wheel than I was shown previously and that now my bag had two holes in it that were not there when I dropped the bag off. He then said, "oh the other wheel didn't work so we put this one on there". The "new" wheel did not have a plastic leg protector. I told him this is unacceptable, and these new holes make get caught on something or better yet come out and rip my bag. I then asked "why didn't you call me to tell me there was an issue with the wheel that we agreed upon and let me make the final decision on whether to proceed with the repair or not?" He stated, "I would not have known how to verbalize that to you over the phone so I made the best decision, which was to give you 4 wheels on your bag regardless that it's slightly off and we had to modify your bag". I told him he needed to either refund me my money, give me the old plastic wheel piece back that was on it when I came in, or put a matching wheel on the bag to balance my bag back out, because now my bag is completely damaged. He refused to do anything, stating that "he threw my old piece out, he did not have another matching wheel to match the piece he put on the bag, and that he would at most give me a store credit or partial refund. I advised him that this is unacceptable because now my bag is off balance and inoperable. He told me once I put stuff in the bag the wheels will then work properly and be balanced other than that, I can only get a partial refund. I called the police, filed a note with BBB, because this is so unacceptable. This man kept telling me that since he is the only place in town to do the repairs I should be happy I have 4 wheels and take the partial refund. Do NOT use this place, there is another luggage and shoe repair in Omaha called Maple Street Shoe Repair. I wish I had went with my first mind. I just called 5 other people to advise on this place and they have been swindled by this guy. They stated that he has changed quotes on them (over charging for minor repairs), and done a bad job on repairs of shoes and boots. Save your money, time, and frustration!
