It took FOUR tries to get a quote from YMCA Olathe - I sent in the online request and their customer service is horrible.

I thought their prices would be reasonable - NOT!

$79 enrollment fee and $88 per month for an individual paying month-to-month (I'm in my 60's) ..... or $66 a month, no enrollment fee but must have a 12 month commitment. No sauna, no towels, no shampoo, no jacuzzi..... and horrible customer service right off the bat.... no thanks.

I've been to my share of slipshod fitness facilities in my life, - and this YMCA is one them.>The equipment is ill-maintained>Broken equipment isn't repaired/replaced in a timely manner; in one instance I recall, it was over a month before a malfunction was repaired>Some of their 'trainers', quite frankly, appear in worse shape than those they are trainingThere is usually plenty of staff on hand yet, even with the facility mostly empty, I've witnessed little to no attempts by the staff to:>Check the functionality of the equipment>Disinfect seats, benches, or handgrips.>Monitor the safety of the environment. For example:Once, in the middle of a workout set, I was actually hit in the head with a small, rubber ball because some kids were playing in the gym area while some staff were gathered at the front desk, just talking and laughing and having a good time while disregarding the safety and well-being of it clients.Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this YMCA!
