My dentist said he was good at implants but I will never know. At my first and final visit he told me that everyone has periodontal disease. To "prove" it, he probed my gums so deeply they bled and tears streamed down my face from the pain. He said the bleeding was caused by the infection, not by the sharp instruments he forced under my gums. I felt like he was scamming me into a series of cleanings that I did not need and delighted in showing me "evidence" that I, like everyone else, had periodontal disease. We never did address the reason I why my dentist had referred me to him.
