Established in 1973, Wiley Post Elementary offers education to students in prekindergarten through grade five. Its staff members include a counselor, laboratory assistant, media specialist, custodians and teachers. The school s academic curricula include reading, writing, math, science and social studies. Wiley Post Elementary also conducts classes in art, vocal music and speech therapy. It supplies pencils, crayons, erasers, sharpeners, storage bags, glue sticks and folders. In addition, the school offers physical education and Title I programs. It is a part of Putnam City Schools, which enrolls more than 18,700 students and employs over 1,400 staff members. The district operates approximately 18 elementary and nearly 10 middle and high schools. Wiley Post Elementary is located in Oklahoma City.
