Established in 1937, Rockwood Elementary is a learning center that serves students in prekindergarten through grades five. It has business and educational alliances with Crossings Community Church, Oklahoma City Community College, Weed & Seed and Johnson Control. Rockwood Elementary s staff includes reading coaches, nurses, custodians, classroom assistants, parent liaisons, special education aides, art and music professionals, and health and physical education instructors. The school maintains a media center that provides a large selection of reference books, archives, biographies, databases, encyclopedias, online dictionaries, newspapers and magazines. Rockwood Elementary is a part of Oklahoma City Public Schools and is located in Oklahoma City.
