Founded in 1959,Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries provides services and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. It is a nonprofit organization that serves more than 1,000 individuals. Its Oklahoma division offers a wide range of programs, including waiver services, supported and assisted living, employment opportunities and companionship programs. Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries also provides respite, family support and personal care attendant services through its community homes. It offers several independent living programs. Additionally, the organization offers crisis intervention and vocational programs. It organizes a number of cultural events and workshops for its members. Headquartered in Bossier City, La., it has divisions throughout Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma and Arkansas.
