AMVETS (American veterans) provides support for veterans and the active military in procuring their earned entitlements. The organization is one of the largest congressionally-chartered veterans' service organizations in the United States. It has members from each branch of the military, including the National Guard and Reserves. Based in Oklahoma City, Okla., AMVETS has a network of national service officers who have received accreditation from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The organization in partnership with Freedom & Honor conducts a series of warrior transition workshops across the United States.
