General Info

Lessons include coaching in classical piano technique and performance, sight-reading, ear-training, music theory, composition, and music history. Popular music, ragtime, jazz, new age, show tunes, hymns, and holiday music may be incorporated based on student preferences. Students are encouraged to participate in events throughout the year, including studio recitals, the National Guild of Piano Teachers student auditions, the Royal Conservatory Music Development Program assessments, Michigan Music Teachers Association Student Achievement Testing, Music Teachers National Association festivals, church services, and other local community group activities. Lessons will be geared specifically for each student to reach their individual goals and expectations.
