Be very careful when purchasing an item from this business. Ensure that what you are purchasing is the real thing. A year ago, I was in the market to purchase an engagement ring. I needed to purchase a loose diamond for the setting. The initial GIA certified diamond that I liked was too expensive and I wanted to look at options. I was shown a diamond that was described to me as being 1.02 cts, F color and SI2 clarity. I was informed that it did not come with a GIA certificate, but that it was graded by GIA trained staff and met GIA grading standards. I purchased it. Recently, I took this ring to five different jewelers to have it examined. The consensus is that the loose diamond is not F color or SI2 clarity according to GIA standards. The fifth jeweler is a GIA certified gemologist. I paid for a full appraisal. The diamond is “H-I” color and “I” in clarity. Certified appraised value of the ring: $6,700.
