I would not recommend Custom Exteriors, Inc of West Haven, Utah to anyone after my experience with their work. Last summer I had a friend recommend using Custom Exteriors for soffit, facia and new rain gutters on my home. I got several bids on the project but decide to spend a little extra and use Custom Exteriors because of my friend’s recommendations. During the quote phase Paul White came out and gave us the estimate. Paul said that the new facia and soffit would resolve my water issues and I wouldn’t have to paint ever again (which turned out to be untrue on both accounts). Paul said that he had been installing facia and soffit for a long time and the work would be exemplary. When Paul finished things started to go downhill. The first problem was obvious to me right away. The new soffit and facia where a nice dark color but I had a white stipe around my house. When I talked to Paul he said that he does not replace the drip strip, so I would need to paint it to match. If he was really such an experience professional, he would have mentioned it up front or painted it to match during the install. (I guess my roofer was really a pro because he painted my vents so they wouldn’t stand out.) The bigger problem didn’t show its face until a few months later when we got a lot of rain. The water was running behind the facia and dripping off the bottom of the soffit, so now I have to worry about mold behind the soffit and facia. I have called, emailed and texted Paul but he just gives me the same story, I will try to get my gutter guy to come and look at it. Its still not fixed. The promise of not to having to paint anymore wasn’t true and my water issues are not fixed. It looks like I will have to pay a true professional to come out and fix it. After hearing about my issues my friend won’t be recommending them to anyone else that’s for sure.

General Info
Custom Exteriors, Inc. was established in 1982. We have a spectacular reputation as well as an unparalleled quality of work and service. Professionalism and Customer Satisfaction is our top priority and it shows in everything we do. The job is not done until it is perfect! Our superintendents work closely with the customer and installers on a day to day basis paying close attention to details and quality of craftsmanship. Our professionally trained installers are masters of their craft and more than equipped to tackle even the toughest obstacles of any project The growth and success of Custom Exteriors can also be attributed to its diversity; we are the only company in the area that specializes in both new construction and recovering (existing) homes. We offer siding, soffits, aluminum crown molding, stucco (hard coat system) foundation plastering, stone veneer, and replacement windows (with recover). All of our work is done by our own employees not subcontracted out. Work is overseen by our superintendents that specialize in each area. Working together as a team sharing scaffolding whenever possible, this is a very efficient service for homeowners and builders. It's because of this and our volume that we can be so competitive on price. And we do it all well. Utah's construction industry is saturated with contractors and contractors are often thought of as unethical. We recommend getting several bids while keeping in mind that if the price sounds "too good to be true," it probably is. Always get quotes in writing including what services are to be performed. Compare product and reputability; work with someone you feel comfortable with that can assist you with colors and design. Above all work with a contractor that will be in business next year as well as 5 or 10 years from now. This is your home and there is peace of mind knowing you have hired a responsible well respected contractor who pays his suppliers and employees, warranties workmanship and will work with t
