Established in 1955, Oceanside Middle School is located in Oceanside, N.Y. It has more than 2,000 students and over 150 staff members. The school offers various academic programs in English, science, mathematics and social studies. Its library media center provides books, magazines and Internet access to students. The school offers language courses, including French, Latin and Spanish. The school s curriculum also includes programs in family and consumer science and instructional technology. It has music, health and physical education and theater arts departments. Additionally, it has a technology lab offering ScanTek, Tech-Media and hands-on learning technologies. Oceanside Middle School also provides sports activities, such as football, hockey, baseball and golf.
