I think @ honest.143 might have been a little rough on D&P Pawn. A pawn broker has to consider what your item is selling for used out in the real world. If your item doesn't have a huge value you can't expect a huge loan on it. Yes a pawn broker will low ball it. What would you do? Your taking an item for cash ... you have to hold it for around 90 days ... and then try to sell it and not only recoup the cost of the loan ... but make a profit. They are after all a business. They have to keep the lights on pay the rent and other utilities. If you have a chance watch the TV show Pawn Stars to get a clue. Having said that .... this is nice little pawn shop, they seem to have very accessable hours of operation ... I just found them open on Labor Day Sept. 5th. Most other pawn shops were CLOSED. Another one I visited was closing at 4:30pm with hours right on their door that said Monday till 7:00PM. Anyway this pawn shop has taken most everything I have brought in ... and given me reasonable loans that bailed me out of some very broke days.

Not once have they given an 'honest reasonable price' - not even a proper negotiation. I can tell the pawnbroker there is just lying about the value of the majority of all products which customers bring in to pawn off looking for a fairly decent deal. Although the gentleman behind the counter is extremely nice and respectful, he also low balls the products being brought in to sell. Other than that I enjoy his place of business because he usually takes in everything that is brought in.
