Founded in 1960, The College Preparatory School is an educational institution located in Oakland, Calif. It offers a full-college preparatory curriculum that includes various subjects, such as mathematics, science, history, English, foreign languages, arts and physical education. It also offers advance placement courses in statistics, physics, environmental science, calculus, chemistry, French, Japanese, Spanish and Latin. It offers a wide range of community service programs, such as Oxfam, Habitat, Amnesty International, Dorothy Day House, food bank, Adopt-A-Family, beach clean-up, adopt-a-grandparent and La Escuelita. The College Preparatory School organizes various events, including film festivals and multicultural evenings.
