Established in 1972, Native American Health Center is located in Oakland, Calif. Its Dental Department provides various services, including fillings, oral surgery, cleanings, sealants and fluoride treatment. The health care center has a family and child guidance clinic that provides individual, couples and group therapies, and youth services and case management services. Native American Health Center s nutrition and fitness department offers individual counseling for the management and prevention of heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity. The wellness center also offers physical fitness assessments, exercise program prescriptions, smoking cessation classes and pregnancy counseling. Native American Health Center offers full laboratory services, prenatal and childbirth education classes, and newborn and baby care services.
