This is to give Whitty Transmissions a five star rating for being honest, as well as great repairmen (which I know, because my local repairment, whom I trust implicitly, sent my car to Whitty's with a broken transmission). But in addition, today as they were checking my car, they had an inkling that my problem was actually a specific Ford recall that, if so, could be corrected by Ford free of charge. They called my guy and suggested that I be contacted so I could give Ford my VIN # and find out if this was indeed the case. And it was. Clearly they could have kept quiet and just made the repair - but the quality of their character shone through. We only needed to cover the cost of our car being towed to them for the originally intended repair. So - five stars because my local, trusted guy trusts them, and five stars for the gift they gave us - which was a God-send since transmissions are very big jobs. Thank you Whitty Transmissions! I just called to get a quote for a trans service, i had to be on hold for 5 min just to get an answer. When she gave me the quote it was 50.00 higher then 2 other locations i called. When i asked why that was i heard a man in the backround say, then go to them! If that is what people call good customer service that is sad. There attitude su-kd I guess business must be good that they can talk like that to a person.
Whitty Transmissions, Inc. are the best. My Toyota Rav4 was having transmission problems. Tom informed me of a recall and went above and beyond and called Toyota for me. The repairs could of cost thousands of dollars. But the concern for me and not the dollar makes Whitty Transmissions Inc. the best place if you need any work done. Thank you all. It is so refreshing to know there is still a place that puts people over profit.
