In operation for more than 100 years, the West Cook YMCA is a nonprofit organization. It features a gymnasium, pool and conference room. The organization supports a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, badminton, racquetball, volleyball and handball. It offers several health and fitness programs. The West Cook YMCA conducts swimming lessons for children and adults. The organization also offers a babysitting course for children between the ages of 11 and 15. Its range of recreational and cultural activities includes dance and music. In addition, it organizes various events, including outings, family nights and sports tournaments. The organization provides its facility on a rental basis for private parties and special occasions. The West Cook YMCA is located in Oak Park, Ill.
