Terrible absolutely terrible. ...

Terrible absolutely terrible. After first moving in and not being told about a large blue tarp over our roof or mold in the house, we went on to wait 3 months for repairs to be started then had our roof leak and had to wait another 2 weeks AFTER the roof was finished before they could get ahold of the owner to get his permission to get it fixed...um what? We have had our water heater blow out and I was treated as though I were complaining that there was dirt around the house or something else as inconsequential! Now the owner of the house had not paid the water bill in months and the property management ignored all letters from the water department until I called saying I was going to be given a 48 hour notice before it got shut off. NOW the owner of the house apparently wants to make adjustments that neither my husband nor I want. All of a sudden these people can suddenly get ahold of him over night and are insisting he wants to go ahead with this and are not returning my phone calls about wanting the owners contact information to speak with him directly about this. They pretty much laugh at you if you have a problem and act like you should be grateful to have the opportunity to pay them rent. Spend your money elsewhere or move into base housing if you are military.

The only person who moved into this house was a James Sarafin and he moved in Dec 2011. Mr. Sarafin was aware of the roof tarp and wanted to move in anyways knowing that we were getting bids for a new roof. Installation of the new roof started the first week of January 2012, one month after Mr. Sarafin moved in, not 3 months as Ms. Sarafin claims. There was an issue with some ceiling water leaks during the roof installation and they were repaired as soon as possible after the roofers finished sealing the exterior roof. Our records do show a Christen Sarafin was added to the lease on June 2012 after we found out she had been living in the house for an unspecified period of time without Property Management approval. In May 2012 the tenant reported very little hot water. We had a plumber fix the failed heating element within 24 hours. Not sure what Ms. Sarafin means by “water heater blow out”. Seeing that Ms. Sarafin wasn’t added to the lease until June 2012 I don’t understand how she was inconvenienced by no hot water in May 2012. The fact that the owner hadn’t paid the water bill had no effect on Ms. Sarafin, she never went without water. The water bills have always been sent direct to the owner who resides overseas. Our first indication of overdue water bills was when the tenant notified us. We immediately took care of the water bills. It sounds like Ms. Sarafin is just looking for things to complain about that had no impact on her. In February 2012 the owner asked about installing a pellet stove in the house that would help ease the electric heating bill. The tenant’s (Mr. Sarafin) response was “awesome”. Ms. Sarafin did everything she could to block the stove installation claiming that it didn’t fit in with her furniture. She even went so far as to refuse entry to the installers even though an appointment had already been made. Her request for the owner’s phone number was denied because owners hire us to be their agent specifically so they don’t have to deal with tenants. This is a standard practice with property management companies. Although Mr. Sarafin has always been very accommodating and easy to work with, Ms. Sarafin has been a challenge to try and please in all ways. I strongly advise you NOT to rent to Ms. Sarafin.
