Rose's Bookhouse has been a staple of O'Fallon since long before O'Fallon's population explosion.



I've gone there since I was a kid and never had a bad experience . The staff will help you find anything in seconds, and Rosie the cat may help you browse. Lots of romance, but many other sections and all are well organized.



I don't know why YP user Sammy02 is bothered by a business coming out ahead. If the business came out behind, it wouldn't be an open business for very long. It's not a rip off- it's commerce.



I only know of one local bookstore with a trade-in policy that allows customers to pay entirely with credit on their accounts, and that is Dunaway Books in St. Louis. There were two in St. Charles County that allowed payment for materials solely with store credit, but neither of these lasted much longer than a year. My experience has been that suburban bookstores allow trade-in credit to apply to 30-40% of the price of books. If there are enough readers in the area, it will survive.

Rose's Book STORE is one of my favorites. They give store credit for book trade in so you can buy more books. which is why i shop there. to get books at a discounted price. The staff is always helpful and have recommended what have become some of my favorite books. they have a great medical/nutrional selection, and great children books as well.

I brought in eight nice books to Rose's book house, I picked out four books to take home.

I still had to pay $8.16. They only give a credit, then next time you go in you still have to pay again. I think they are coming out ahead. I will sell my own books. I will not go back again.
