      Heading the staff at the Long Island Drum Center are Frank Colonnato and Greg Allen. Frank is a player/teacher who has authored a highly regarded snare drum instruction book, "Inner Rhythms" ( Hal Leonard Publications ). Greg is a player/teacher who also has an excellent command of drum repair and tech work, and an extensive knowledge of the entire percussion industry, both new and vintage. When you come in, ask him about his snare drum collection, which includes many one of a kind pieces. Both gentlemen have a combined forty years of drum retail experience and have been there to see every modern drum kit advance make its impact on the market. Like the big city drum shops of the past, which stocked anything and everything in sometimes very small quarters, The Long Island Drum Drum Center of Nyack in many ways continues that tradition while keeping a firm foot in the present, fully aware of the changing needs of today's drummers. Again, many years of playing and drum retail experience is behind every sale at the Drum Center-indeed, our many satisfied customers will attest to our thorough knowledge of the drum and percussion business and our unparalleled customer service. We know the hot drummers from the latest bands as well as being fans of all the past masters of the instrument. Unlike the nationwide music chains' drum and percussion departments, we have developed personal relationships with many of the representatives and owners of the biggest names in the industry. We are open seven days a week and our hours are 11 am-8 pm M-F, 11 am-5 pm Sat. and 12 noon-5 pm Sun.
