Established in 1929, the Novi Fire Department works to protect the lives and properties of citizens from threatening circumstances. The department offers fire suppression and prevention services. It also provides basic life support and safety education solutions. The department responds to several hazardous incidents, such as automatic fire alarms and vehicle, garage and outbuilding fires. The Novi Fire Department handles various medical and environmental emergencies. The department additionally provides fire hydrant maintenance services. It operates fire stations, as well as equipment that includes combination pumpers, medical transport vehicles, and rescue and tanker trucks. The Novi Fire Department is governed by the City of Novi in Michigan.
