Sisters of the Holy Cross is a Roman Catholic, religious congregation of women. The organization employs more than 500 sisters who serve throughout the United States, India, Bangladesh, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Ghana and Uganda. Its sisters are educators, nurses, counselors, social workers, writers and attorneys. Sisters of the Holy Cross ministries work to end gender discrimination against women. The organization assists in the formation and facilitation of right relationships between and among individuals and groups. It helps to eradicate the systemic causes and effects of poverty. Sisters of the Holy Cross offers services in schools, hospitals, churches, parishes, retreat houses, community organizations and social service agencies. The organization provides the Holy Cross Associates Program.
