The receptionist (blond woman) was so rude and unhelpful, I left and went to the clinic across the street called PhysicianOne Urgent Care where the staff were friendly and helpful.

The place was horrendously filthy, the woman at the desk was rude, and the nurse was bumbling around in the room, tripping over junk laid out precariously in the hallway and the exam areas.

Dr. Hernandez was nice, but didn't even do any kind of thorough examination. I had very obvious tonsillitis with humongous white craters and cracks on my tonsils with horrific pain. He never bothered to check my mouth because the nurse had "already taken are of it", and said it was a virus. He prescribed me nothing.

When I was forced to get a second opinion at Day Kimball in Plainfield (a place that is efficient, CLEAN, and affordable), the doctor essentially informed me that my previous doctor was a moron, and that I clearly had tonsillitis, and an antibiotic was needed. It started to clear within 2 days.

West Side Medical Center cost me $120.00 out of pocket, and they did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. That place is a rat hole.

Dr.v has given me false information twice. He is no help at all. I do not think he should be dealing with patients. I will never goto him again. He does nothing and refers me to wrong kind of doctors. Get it together!!! Soo disappointed in his work. Dr hernandez is great. He should train dr. V. Dr. V you truly suck as a doctor. U know nothing. He by passes his job n doesnt even touch patient. My doctor asked me if u checked anything bladder pain. Or stomach. And of course u did not. Just like the time i complained of bronchitis and chest pains. Did he check my lungs or breathing or listen to lungs. Of course not. He is no good m i will be calling the association where hes from. He truly is the worst.

I just went to this clinic and I had a great experience. I got there at 6:10pm and out by 7:15pm, which is actually quite quick for a clinic. The receptionist was very helpful and nice. And Dr. V. was quick and efficient. The nurse was very good at asking about details on my medical history and took the time to answer any questions I had. My experience with this clinic is I will be back. Love the late hours too works wonderful for working people.

Dr. Hernandez is the doctor to see. He is caring, actually talks and explains problems + issues you might have. I have gone to dr. v twice and he didnt do anything!!!!!!! barely talked. Next time i go I will be seeing dr.hernandez ,never again dr.v. he acts like a inexperienced doctor. Other than that the older lady i think shes gone now always used to ask me for my social sec card. I was told on the news there is no reason a doctors office should ask for that info, so i dont give it out.

The only doctor I go to for sick visits

I'm surprised at people's comments on wait time. If you think you can get faster service from the ER, go for it. I have never had to go back to Dr. Hernandez for a follow-up. He looks into my history and treats me accordingly. I'd rather wait an hour for Hernandez than make an appointment with any other doctor. Dr. V. on the other hand is not my favorite. I have had to go back for foloow-ups more than once after being seen by him. Bottom line: It's worth the wait.

He's My Doctor

After going to West Med Ctr for a few years as a walk in clinic I decided to make Dr. Viswanathan my primary Care doctor.

He is a kind, compassionate, knowledgeable Doctor that I like. He even went out of his way to call my wife and talk to her about a diagnosis for me. He's also returned my phone call when I needed to talk to him directly.

After about 5 years as my Primary Doctor I've very satisfied with him and his staff.

It is true his facility needs some upgrading and they are slow that's for sure. I always wait for an appointment - but isn't that true with every doctor? How are they supposed to know how long the previous apointment is going to be. He doesn't rush me and I don't him to rush his other patients.
